Kilcunda bridge

Photo was taken during the Aurora in may. The bridge is less than an ours drive from my house I’ve past if many times

It was hard getting the colours just right. In the end we just went with what looked good. You cannot match Mother Nature

For us this was a quick project. Taking about four or five weeks
Now the hunt begins for the next project

Giants causeway

It has taken many hours but it’s finally done
I was so excited to get to the giants causeway. It was a bucket list tick. And to now having painted it. Well I’m very happy

I hope you like it

Tooradin foreshore

Well it’s done. This has taken months. We started it in November. To be fair. We did stop classes over Christmas. But still. So many little details.
Not perfect. But then again neither am I

Our teacher was very proud of us and that’s good enough for me

Sunset over water

This one took weeks and weeks.
I learnt so much.
As always stand back and squint.
It looks better that way

I’ll sign it next week. As it was too wet

Fairy tree

While travelling through Ireland  we were told about a fairy tree   A new highway had the be redesigned so as to not hurt the fairy tree.

We all lined up along the bus windows to get a shot of the tree

I got one!

It’s a very unassuming little tree
So to make it special I decided to paint it

It kinda looks more like an olive tree than the original
But oh my. Trying to make it stand out from all that green was tough

Anyway it’s done  now. And it will remind me of my trip to the Emerald Isle
Always

Lake Hume

Finished today.
The picture we used was taken by my sister in laws, brother in law lol.

A very talented photographer who kindly, and bravely, allowed me to use one of his masterpieces.

I’m really happy with this
I spent a lot of time looking at the sky to get it the way I wanted

I’ve decided the “step back and squint” advice should be applied to all aspects of life

Morning view

This one was challenging as I “know” the view so well.
It really pushed my buttons. Especially the tree on the right hand side.

But I didn’t give up. I drove my teacher to alcoholism. But it’s done.

The step back and squint on the stand is for us to remember to stand back and look at the whole thing
